True Flow introduces its True Flow XDI Xtreme Duty air intakes for universal and vehicle specific late-model direct bolt-on applications. These new XDI air intake systems by true flow offer a solution to many heavy-duty trucks that suffer from undersized air-filter boxes that choke air flow to minimal engine requirements. True Flow replaces the factory air box and restrictive factory plastic tube to increase air flow. The True Flow XDI, constructed from powder-coated aluminum with direct bolt-on applications including powder-coated mandrel-bent tube and nylon-reinforced silicone couplers. By doing this, True Flow is able to improve horsepower and torque in application’s requiring greater airflow than the factory intake is capable of. This combination not only improves performance but also increases fuel efficiency and has a great intake tone.

The XDI air intake delivers on all fronts.  The XDI air intake is a sealed system to keep hot air out.  It comes with True Flow’s famous two stage foam air filter that is the leader in protection.  The silver powder-coated canister and red silicone couplers give any vehicle a show quality look.  The mammoth 5” inlet roars to life when you’re on the throttle but is subtle in everyday driving conditions. 

Of course, the number one reason for purchasing an air intake is to increase performance and efficiency.  Here, the XDI Air Intake really shines.  We remove the restrictive mufflers and resonators on the stock tubing and replace them with smooth mandrel bent tubing.   We replace the air box with our high flow canister.  Finally, after extensive research on True Flow’s flow bench, we changed the direction of the air filter so that the air flows from inside-out of the filter.  We call it “inverted air flow technology.”  This revolutionary change increases the air flow by over 50 percent and increases power by up to 27 horsepower and up to 62 foot pounds of torque.
